  2. 1. Background and purpose

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 infection, self-restraint of going out and social contact, telework etc. are recommended, and many sports, entertainment events are being canceled. All of which had made significant impacts on various fields. Under such circumstances, e-Sports is gaining worldwide attention as a new way of entertainment that allows people to participate and enjoy games while being at home.
Vietnam has a large youth population, especially large game population in Southeast Asia countries, so interest in e-Sports is increasing year by year. Therefore, NTT e-Asia, which has business development experiences in Vietnam for years, and OCG, which develops Cloud Game business in Vietnam, by utilizing the strengths of both companies, aim to provide a foothold to the development of e-Sports business in Vietnam via holding this e-Sports event.
