1. Background

NTT Vietnam is considering the development of educational ICT business in Vietnam in collaboration with Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), one of the largest telecommunications carriers in Vietnam. Currently, as the first step toward development, a trial with Japanese educational ICT solutions has been conducted at the Archimedes Academy, a private primary school in Hanoi since January last year, and many educators visited the Archimedes Academy and high praises for trial are received. Da Nang City has shown a strong interest in introducing this solution as the most ICT-enabled city in Vietnam. Therefore, NTT Vietnam decided to conduct a trial at a public primary school in the city on the assumption that it will be introduced from the next semester.

2. Purpose

NTT Vietnam will utilize the know-how and knowledge of NTT East Japan that it has cultivated by engaging in ICT support for many schools and educational institutions in Japan, and by developing educational ICT solutions in Vietnam, NTT Vietnam is aiming to contribute to the advanced primary and secondary education.
In this trial, based on the achievements cultivated at Archimedes Academy, NTT Vietnam will explore the city-wide expandability to public primary schools in Da Nang City.

After getting the trial results, NTT Vietnam will aim to provide full-scale services to public schools including the trial school in consultation with the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City.
